Prabashi is a non-profit community based organization of Bengalis in the Greater Portland Area.

We are a small, close knit community celebrating the spirit of togetherness by promoting community brotherhood in the form of events that brings to light our rich and renowned traditions.

Apart from organizing entertainment programs celebrating our cultural heritage and diversity, Prabashi also believes in giving our patrons and members a home away from home.  

To enunciate this, we celebrate 4 flagship events during the year:

• Saraswati Puja
• Poila Boishak
• Durga Puja
• Bijoya Sonmeloni

We are always open to adding more events based on the feedback we receive from our supporters. Being a community based organization, we rely on the contribution of our members and friends in organizing our events. Prabashi believes in continuous improvement and we urge our members to come to us with ideas and suggestions to help us better reach out to the community.
